Dr. Randall Kevin Wong was born in Berkeley (CA) in 1955 into a family of Chinese origin, living in the USA in the 4th generation. His voice teacher was Anna Carol Dudley. In addition he made extensive studies in musicology which he finished with a doctoral thesis about Barbara Strozzi at Stanford University. In addition to his solo career which began in 1983, he was a member of "Chanticleer" from 1981-92.

He sings operas, from the Baroque era to our days, his range is approximately:
