The American sopranist, Michael Maniaci (*1976), graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and continued his studies at Juilliard School of Music. In 2001/02 he had his debut at Carnegie Hall and in Europe (Göttingen) in the following season. According to his own statements he is one of the few singers whose voice can reach to the soprano without making use of the falsetto register.

He is known for his excellent stage performance in operas from the Baroque up to the Romantic Era, including contemporary works, but is also as a concert singer. An estimate for his voice range is:
