Mircea Mihalache was born Romania, but has been living in Vienna since 1979.
In Bucharest, he studied piano, conducting, ballet and singing, the latter
with Magda Ianculescu. He sang at numerous theaters in Europa and under
famous counductors like Z. Mehta, Cl. Abbado, N. Harnoncourt, R. Clemencic
and others. Several works were written especially for him. He sings a large range of music ranging from Baroque to modern music. It is said that he posseses a natural alto where he doesn't use his falsetto register. | |
