The Argentinian countertenor and sopranist, Franco Fagioli, was born on May 4, 1981 in San Miguel de Tucumán, where he first studied piano. Afterwards, he took a study singing with Ricardo Yost and Annelise Skovmand at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and switched to the countertenor fach. A first milestone was the Bertelsmann "Neue Stimmen" award, which he won in 2003. Since then he has been performing with great success all over Europa.

His repertoire concentrates onto the music of the castrati, in particular in opera. His range is:
