Born in 1980 to Norwegian parents, David Hansen studied singing
with Andrew Dalton at the Conservatorium of his home town, Sydney.
He supplemented his studies with James Bowman, David Harper and the
Australian countertenor, Graham Pushee. In 2004, he gave his European
debut in Aix-en-Provence. Since then he has been performing all over
Europe and in the U.S.
David Hansen's work concentrates on opera, with focus on the Baroque
and early Classical Era, but includes also Contemporary music. An
